Clarity in Every Situation

SAFE+ International was founded to help international schools prepare their leaders for the complex and high-pressure situations that can arise when the unexpected happens.

Our mission is to strengthen the ability of school leaders to make clear, proportionate and defensible decisions when information is incomplete, circumstances are changing and the pressure is high.

We believe effective preparedness is about more than having policies and procedures in place. It is about developing the people, leadership and decision-making processes needed to put those plans into action.

SAFE+ works alongside schools to strengthen critical incident leadership, preparedness and response. Our approach combines structured decision-making, risk assessment, incident management and practical exercises, while placing each school's ethos and values at the centre.

We don't aim to predict every possible incident. We prepare leaders to respond effectively when the situation doesn't follow the plan.

My Credentials

At SAFE+ International, I support international schools in building the confidence and capability to respond effectively to critical incidents and high-pressure situations.

With over a decade of frontline experience—including five years as a military firefighter and eight years in UK law enforcement—my approach is grounded in real-world operational experience. Throughout my career, I have worked in environments where clear thinking, effective leadership, structured decision-making and professional judgement were essential to achieving safe and successful outcomes.

I established SAFE+ International to bring this experience into the international school environment, helping school leaders strengthen preparedness, improve decision-making and develop practical responses to complex and evolving situations.

My specialist areas include critical incident leadership, Incident Command Systems (ICS), structured decision-making, safeguarding, emergency preparedness and active bystander principles. Through practical, scenario-based training and independent advisory support, I work closely with school leaders and teams to improve communication, clarify responsibilities and build confidence in responding to situations that may not follow a predictable script.

I believe effective leadership during uncertainty is not about making perfect decisions. It is about making informed, proportionate and defensible decisions based on the information available at the time.

Every international school operates within its own unique environment, community and risk profile. That is why SAFE+ engagements are tailored to the individual school, ensuring that recommendations, training and procedures are practical, relevant and immediately applicable.

Whether supporting a school in preparing for a critical incident, strengthening its response framework or developing the confidence to make sound decisions under pressure, my focus remains the same:
